Privacy notice
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This notice explains what happens to the information you give us when you use thelittleronin.co.uk. The site is run by Daniel Duna, trading as The Little Ronin, who is responsible for your information. You can contact us at info@thelittleronin.co.uk.
What we collect
We only collect information when you send us a story idea. The form asks for your first name, your email address and your idea. You can also tell us an age range and whether you're happy to be thanked by first name if we use your idea. Please don't include your child's full name or anything that could identify them.
We don't use analytics, advertising trackers or our own cookies.
Why we use it
We use your details to read and consider your idea, and to reply to you about it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in hearing ideas from families and replying to the people who send them. If you tick the box to be thanked by name, we rely on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
Who else handles it
Our website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which receives form submissions and passes them to our email. Netlify may process data outside the UK; where it does, it does so under safeguards required by UK data protection law. We never sell your information or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep story ideas and the emails that come with them for up to 12 months, or longer if we're turning your idea into a book and are in touch with you about it. Then we delete them.
Videos
Our story videos are hosted on YouTube. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and a video only loads when you press play. Once it loads, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Just email info@thelittleronin.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
